Melanchton A. Mangoba, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has been practicing in the Riverside, California, community for over ten years. In his private practice, he provides comprehensive medical care, both in his office and in nursing homes, and cares for patients in hospitals and intensive care units necessary. Dr. Mangoba develops long-term relationships with his patients and manages treatment with other specialists when there is a need.
Dr. Mangoba was born in the Philippines and came to the United States when he was a young boy. He has lived in the Inland Empire for most of his life. He completed his undergraduate education at California State University, San Bernardino. He then matriculated to Loma Linda University in California, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. He did his internship and residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center Internal Medicine program. Dr. Mangoba is proud to be locally educated and trained.
After finishing residency, Dr. Mangoba decided to establish a practice in Riverside. His practice consists of both outpatient and inpatient work. He has privileges at Parkview and Riverside Community Hospital. Dr. Mangoba believes in actively engaging his patients on their health. He knows the importance of listening to his patients and educating them on their medical conditions to treat them more effectively.
Dr. Mangoba performs examinations, makes diagnoses, treats acute illness (e.g., infections, influenza) and chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure),
and also, when needed, incorporates disease prevention and mental health into the care he provides.
Patients have described Dr. Mangoba as a “very patient and caring doctor, who listens to their concerns, and doesn’t rush through the appointment.” He is beloved by his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Mangoba enjoys working with German Shepherd dogs and spending time with family. He is accepting new patients and looks forward to helping his patients achieve a better state of health.
